Very restricted humanitarian aid is allowed to enter ๐๐๐๐. It is virtually impossible for any charity to make its way through Rafah or any other crossings. Currently, about 1.5 million people are forcibly displaced by Israel from North Gaza to Rafah.
Under such harsh and inhumane circumstances, #๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ developed an ingenious mechanism to distribute locally grown vegetables and fruits jointly with the support of ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ฒ.
Fresh vegetable packs contain 7.2 Kg to 8 Kg of 10 different vegetables: ๐๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ, ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ, ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ข, ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ. The cost of one pack is about ยฃ40. We distributed 100 fresh vegetable packs for needy and desperate families of ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ-๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ, ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ on 21st April 2024. Previously, we distributed 170 fresh vegetable packs for homeless and displaced families from North Gaza during the first week of April. During 3rd phase, we distributed 100 fresh vegetable packs on 3rd May 2024 as well as distributed 2 trucks of drinking water. Our approach helps the local farmers to earn their livelihood as well as it feeds the needy families for a week.
A diverse range of freshly harvested, high-quality vegetables, herbs, and fruit were packed into the parcels ,The project also benefitted local farmers and creating jobs opportunities in these communities.ย This income allowed farmers not only to support themselves, but to prepare for the next growing season.
Fresh Food Distribution contain nine items ย (tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cucumbers, molokhiya, peppers, onions , cauliflower ุ Rice) with a total weight of 8600g, grams per family. This food basket is sufficient for the familyโs needs for a week.ย The basic goal of providing Fresh Food Distribution for the benefit of displaced families is to provide a nutritional balance.
