Each year, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) is celebrated on December 3, helping to bring awareness about the importance of equality for people with disabilities in all areas of society. One billion people, or 15 per cent of the world’s population, experience some form of disability.
#SameeraFoundation gifted 3 self-propelled wheelchairs to persons with physical disabilities on 3rd December at the ceremony held at District Council Hall, Attock. The event is arranged by the Society for the Disabled Persons, Attock under the management of M Niaz and M Sohail. Both of them are visually impaired but active for the welfare of persons with disabilities. The physically disabled children of the Attock District participated in activities of recitation, religious songs, poetry, music, speeches and local dances.
